Pack x4 Masks - Pre-order

Since 1865

At Atelier Particulier, this is the first time that we have worked with this workshop, located in Mazamet - near Toulouse.
Coming from a family of weavers dating back to the 14th century, it was there that Jules Tournier founded his company in 1865: Jules Tournier & Fils.
It must be said that Mazamet was at the time a well-known Textile stronghold, whose influence went far beyond our borders.

A vertically integrated company

The 2 specificities of this manufacture is to work wool on the one hand and to be fully integrated on the other.
At Jules Tournier & Fils, they master all the stages of production: spinning (yarn), weaving / knitting (fabric or woolen cloth), finishing (= the “treatment” stages which will give its specific to the material; like a soft hand for example).

Supplier of the French army

Historically, and still today, the workshop supplied the French army. During World War I, for example, Tournier made the famous "horizon blue cloth" worn by the Poilus.
It is therefore not surprising that Jules Tournier & Fils is labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (a label that recognizes the best savoir-faire).
