The reason why
This belt has been designed for those who want quality and durability.
Made in Normandy, by a leather workshop founded in 1970, this belt has all the attributes required to accompany you for many years: thick full grain cowhide leather without lining, vegetable tanning of the leather, a old brass finishing buckle (strong, light and does not rust). A belt for the adventurer
A belt that is embellishing itself as wine
Leather is a precious material. Of great quality. So it must be respected. Today, we give you access to vegetable tanned leather. This technique consists of immersing the leather in a tannin made of bark and plants. Vegetable tanning has the singularity of giving birth to leathers that develop a patina over time. Here, every grain of the leather has been left intact. It is 100% natural. The more you wear this belt, the more beautiful it will become. Like a fine wine.
Made in Normandie
It is in the heart of Normandy (one of the French cradles of leather) that we found the workshop capable of making the belt of our dreams. There, we pushed open the doors of a workshop whose tradition goes back three generations. All the steps of the manufacturing process are still done by hand. A well-known luxury monogrammed brand is among their customers.
Not enough is said about the buckle
A belt means a buckle selection. Here, we wanted to find a material that would match the vegetable cowhide we selected. We turned to a old brass metallic buckle. Why this choice? Because it has many advantages. It's strong, light, and the material doesn't rust. Another advantage is that, like the leather we chose, our buckle will develop a slight patina over time. In a few years, your belt will be one of a kind.
An easy belt
This belt is unlined. It is made up of a beautiful layer of vegetable leather. This choice was made to achieve a more raw and uncluttered design. Without lining, there is no need for stitching. And since there is no lining, the belt will not wear out much over time. If you like simple care items, this belt is perfect for you.
Wear it with... everything
To wear this belt, there is only one rule: have loops on your trousers. For the more purist among you, we advise you to match our belt with a thick chino or with a raw or faded denim fabric (vintage Levi's for example?). In any case, you will obtain an authentic result, in a very appreciable workwear spirit.
The belt measures 120 cm from one end to the other.
You have to adjust it yourself or at a cobbler's (classic and quick operation, usually free).
To adjust the belt, you have to unscrew the head with the buckle, cut off the excess part, then make a new hole and finally screw the head of the belt back on.
